Foolproof Cold Oven Salmon
|Lemon Pepper Seasoning||1 Tablespoon|
|Olive Oil||1 Tablespoon|
This is quite literally the easiest, most foolproof recipe on earth! The salmon slowly cooks as the oven heats up. There is nothing worse than dry Salmon its like fishy tasing cotton wool, this recipe is the opposite of that.
It works with any size piece of thawed Salmon, I use the big piece you get from Costco however it works if you portion them out before cooking too, just cut them into what ever size pieces you want it cooks the same way. Even works with 2 small portions.
If you don’t like Lemon Pepper Seasoning use any type of Seasoned Salt, Mixed Herbs or Blackened Seasoning, basically any seasoning you prefer. My Mom places pieces of butter on hers when she cooks it, if this appeals to you go ahead, she also covers it with parchment, I don’t think its necessary but again you can’t make a mistake.
- Drizzle a little Olive Oil on top of a parchment lined baking tray, place the Salmon on top and sprinkle a little more Oil on top of the Salmon then shake on the Lemon Pepper Seasoning, don’t have to be exact just enough to cover the Salmon evenly.
- Slice the Lemons and place on top.
- Place in a cold oven then turn the heat to 400 degrees and the timer to 25 minutes.
- When the timer goes off after 25 minutes its done !
